Mapperley plains near Arnold, Nottingham has a few defence of Britian 'hot spots', as for the reason for all the defence, I still am not sure (but still researching).
Here we have a Type 22 pillbox (and less than 10 foot away was a spigot morter point, unfortunately this is now under a road).
The pillbox is in a farmers field (and there isnt a public footpath) - luckily he was feeding his sheep when I was there and ask permisssion to visit the 'box.
This pillbox is a type FW3/22and the reference is S0000615
